Vi Goes Full 'Make in India' for its 5G Rollout!
In a move that’s making all the right noises, Vodafone Idea (Vi) is properly embracing the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' spirit. The telco is now joining hands with our very own Indian tech companies like Tejas Networks, HCLTech, and HFCL to build out its 4G and 5G infrastructure. According to reports, Vi has already started testing wireless equipment from Tejas Networks in one of its circles. This is a big deal, yaar! For years, we've seen Indian telecom giants rely heavily on foreign suppliers. By shifting focus to desi firms, Vi is not just cutting costs and speeding up its network rollout, but also giving a massive boost to local manufacturing and innovation. It's a win-win situation and a great example of supporting our own tech ecosystem.
