1. Forests
Forests grow where temperature and rainfall are plentiful to support a tree cover. Depending on the climatic conditions, forests are further divided into:
- Tropical Evergreen Forests: These dense forests occur in the regions near the equator and close to the tropics. They receive heavy rainfall throughout the year and do not shed their leaves all at once, hence they always appear green. Common trees include rosewood, ebony, and mahogany.

2. Grasslands

3. Thorny Bushes

Because of scanty rain and scorching heat, plants have deep roots, thorny leaves, and waxy surfaces to reduce loss of moisture through transpiration. Cacti, acacias, and thorny bushes are typical examples.
